News about Jack Madrid's move to Multiply.com first appeared on Janette Toral's tweet.

Multiply will surely be revitalized.  Here's the story from GMA news:

Jonathan “Jack" Madrid, country manager of Yahoo Philippines, is resigning from his post to join Multiply.com as its Philippine country manager, an industry insider revealed in a status update.

On Tuesday night, IT maven Janette Toral wrote in her Facebook page: “Wow, Jack Madrid will be joining Multiply.com Philippines as country manager."

Multiply.com, a Florida-based social networking site partly owned by broadcast giant ABS-CBN, apparently hired Madrid in preparation for the expansion of its local office.

Multiply.com has been building up its local presence since most of the site’s subscribers now come from the Philippines. The social network’s top American executives have, in fact, visited the country many times in the last few years.

Madrid joined Yahoo Philippines in August 2009, replacing tech pioneer Jojo Añonuevo, who assumed a regional post at Yahoo’s Singapore office.

Previous to that, Madrid served as director for Dell’s consumer technical support operations in the Philippines. He also worked as managing director of tech incubator iAyala Corporation and MTV Philippines. — Newsbytes.ph

I've always looked to Multiply as my home for social networking.  There seems to be a deeper connection here at Multiply than anywhere else.  The idea that we can even change the theme of our frontpage contributes to our individuality and inspires us to do what we really want to do on the web - express ourselves.

Lately though, I've been bogged down with a number of stuff.  School, the idea of Facebook somewhat replacing email as a  lead channel for communication (some business related discussions are on Facebook messages now when in fact, I would have preferred that the sender use email instead), and other stuff to take care of.

I'm happy to be back home.  I just need to find a way to organize how all these postings on the web could be managed without messing up what I intended for blindsided.  Most of my postings now are on Blogger ( http://talonggo.blogspot.com , http://outlookph.blogspot.com ) .  Still, there's no place like home.
