It is now the law in California. No More Texting While Driving!
Question...how about strapping a child in the front without a booster seat?
Ahhhhh! Ignorance of the law is no excuse....or, Ignorance is Bliss. LOL

Are you in Cali Lloyd? Laws here in US varies by state but children under 12 has to always be seated at the back of the car. The child has to be restraint in a booster or car seat system unless the child is 6 yrs. and older.
ReplyDeleteHi Chie. No am still in the Philippines. The pic was taken 2 months ago. Yes am now aware that children under 12 have to be seated at the back of the car. It was pointed out to me. Prior to that, my son rode right next to me and without booster seat! He's still 5 years old. LOL
ReplyDeleteGood thing I wasn't apprehended.
Hi folks!
ReplyDeleteHow about people applying makeup? Brushing their teeth (yes, I've seen a couple)? Setting their GPS?
This law is male cow feces. See the DMV site here
The new law "prohibits all drivers from using a handheld wireless telephone while operating a motor vehicle, (Vehicle Code (VC) §23123)".
Furthermore... "The new law does not prohibit dialing, but drivers are strongly urged not to dial while driving."
So you should not talk or listen to the phone while driving (is that any different from talking with a passenger?). However, you may dial on your phone - DUH!
Worse, yet:
"Q: Does the new “hands-free” law allow drivers 18 and over to text message while driving?
A: The law does not specifically prohibit that, but an officer can pull over and issue a citation to a driver of any age if, in the officer’s opinion, the driver was distracted and not operating the vehicle safely. Sending text messages while driving is unsafe at any speed and is strongly discouraged." (only discouragedHow retarded! Maybe the lawmakers disussed this law via text pages.)
Talking and listening, whether to a phone or to a companion, while keeping an eye on the road is safer than dialing on the phone where you have to take your eyes off the road. Once I was driving alongside a lady who was wearing a bluetooth earpice but dialing on her cell phone.
As for me, I refuse to wear anything that makes me look like a character from Star Trek (LOL); I just don't answer my phone when driving; Heck, I drove without a wireless phone until 1998. It did not hurt!
(sent from my blackberry while driving - LOL!)
labutaw ka gid bala raymond mo. hehehe. cheers!
