Twelve months ago, I made a post (seen below) quite contrite and resolute that I will not let a month pass without producing a single drawing.

Here I am again repenting of my sins of omission.  I hardly have any paintings to show for year 2008.  Perhaps I should hurry up before the year ends.

Oh Lord!  Help me!

Rebirth in Barcelona

I've heard it said over and over again, any Christian who visits Jerusalem will forever be changed by the Holy City.

Methinks that so it is for this wayward artist who has laid aside brush and canvas for a long time.  I am forever changed as I have been smitten by this wonderful city known as Barcelona.

Picasso, Dali, Miro, Gaudi.  The common denominator is this Catalonian capital.

I visited the shrines of the greats and have repented...from this day forth, I will not let a month pass in my life without producing a single drawing.




                                                                                 And now I clearly understand why we refer to the Golden Age of art as...the Renaissance.
