"If a tree falls in a forest and no one is around to hear it, does it make a sound?"

This philosophical riddle epitomizes the life of our friend, Jose Joaquin "Jojo" Lopez.

The tree fell on January 22, 2009.

It was too bad weren't around to hear the sound.

Jojo Lopez was a big brother of sorts.  He was a senior at Philippine Science High School in 1981 when we (6 other classmates newly graduated from grade school) came in as freshmen.

We all hailed from La Salle Bacolod and in those early days of the 80s, it was no surprise what we were up to being young Bacolenos allowed to be on our own during the age of exploration.
