My previous post just described how I got my vehicle out of GB1 today through the help of a security guard who used to be posted at McCann-Erickson but was now detailed at GB.  For those of you who've wondered why I had his cell number, here's the story:

A few days after Typhoon Ondoy hit Metro Manila, I bumped into the guard at GB1 carpark.  "Good Morning Ser Lloyd!" was his usual ecstatic greeting as remembered from the days when we were still in Herrera.  I asked him how he was to which he replied, "Tinamaan kami talaga ng Ondoy.  Ang pamilya ko nandoon ngayon sa ULTRA".

He continued, "Noong isang araw, nagkita nga din kami ni Ma'am Ems at ni Ato (Ems' driver), nabigyan nya pa nga ako ng groceries".

Today, while walking to take out the vehicle from GB1, our guard thanked me for the little help I had extended to him on the day we met.  I asked him if he had visited the agency after Ondoy.  Hindi pa raw siya nakadalaw dahil busy pa.  So, while he doesn't have the time to pass by GT Tower (besides, most of us aren't there anymore) I promised him to notify you guys about his predicament.  Wala na sila sa ULTRA pero lubog pa ang kanilang tahanan.
