I have never really been too active on Facebook.  Long before it even popped up on the web, I have often been wary about letting out my full name in a website which requires a high level of disclosure.

For the past year or so, the Facebook account I have been using bears my son's first name and his initials.  That's all.  No full name.

Then yesterday, I had no choice to go onto FB and open an account for business reasons.  Even then, I opened an account with a name which people can easily associate with me .  Obviously, that would be a name related or within the neighborhood of outdoor advertising and out-of-home media.

Then this morning, I stumbled on this post.  There really is no better way to explain why I've been Facebook shy all along.
