I started my first blog at about the time I was set to leave my last place of employment. That was about a year and a half ago.

At that time, I was quite fuzzy in terms of what to write. A few entries showed that it was turning out to be a journal of sorts, quite reminiscent of a high school diary. I honestly couldn't believe it was turning out that way. And so after a few entries, my blog went the way of the dodo.  I'm not even telling you what's the URL of that blog.

I was able to post a new entry a few days ago. But prior to that, the last post was in December 2005. Shame on me!

How could I actually claim to be a writer when I'm not writing?

Today, eighteen months after starting my first blog, I am now determined to keep this one alive and continually updated. For its theme, I've decided to focus on the subject of retirement.

I'll spare you from a boring introduction...lest you tell me to retire from blogging.
