What I like best about Barcelona is the way it bustles and pulsates with LIFE.
Despite the exhaustion from exploring Barcelona on foot for a whole day, my wife and I walked the entire stretch of Las Ramblas to seep in with gusto, all the zest that this Catalunian city had to offer.
With dancers showing moves that could easily shove Marie Osmond and all the Dancing With the Stars entourage to the sidelines, I began to realize how Negrenses back home have acquired this knack for enjoying life as if there was no tomorrow.
Spanish poet Federico GarcÃa Lorca once said that La Rambla was "the only street in the world which I wish would never end".
I certainly agree.
Baila! Baila! Baila!

My crazy aunt kicked us out of her flat at 3am because she forgot she was going on her honeymoon. Ended up rollerblading with my girlfriend down Las Ramblas with a huge backpack at 3:30am, waiting for dawn at the beach, then blading down the promenade to get to the bus station. You're right, Las Ramblas is a place of dreams and a eerie mushroom themed restaurant with a tree growing inside it.
