Serial entrepreneurs have several undertakings running at the same time.  Apparent "busy-ness" is the norm.  However, when one undertaking slows down, the deceleration of activity is never viewed negatively.  Rather, it is greeted with a big welcome as the slack gives birth to new ideas for incubation.

While others panic when activity slows down (often correlated to slow down in sales or production), serial entrepreneurs relish in the slow down for two reasons:

1) It allows a break from the apparent "busy-ness" described above, and
2) It allows one to be impregnated with new ideas for future undertakings.

Above all, it also allows one to strategize his/her retirement.
