Here I am again, Blindsided, the delinquent Retirement Strategist.  I say delinquent because I actually started this blog to help people understand retirement and how it works and yet I've been goofing off writing about other things.  On retirement, I have a long way to go and I am no expert.  All I can say though is that I have simply read through so many books on retirement and just have a better view of the animal as we know it.

Again, no claims on expertise.  Just a first hand knowledge of what it is to step into this phase, not because I have officially retired - but only because I have already shifted my mindset into that mode.  Hint...you don't have to wait for a certain age to retire.  You don't even need walking papers or a company farewell party. One simply has to have a clear reckoning point in his or her mind when they decided to shift their mindset into this manner or mode.

One book that will help people understand the new concept of retirement is entitled "The Four Hour Work Week" by Timothy Ferris.

I have to warn you.  Don't read it if you're not ready to make major changes in your life,

Reading "The Four Hour Work Week" is a blast.  If you can't get the book now because it's midnight, at least browse the website.  http://www.fourhourworkweek.com/
